We’re thrilled to announce that our work, TreeHouse: An MLIR-based Compilation Flow for Real-Time Tree-Based Inference, has been accepted for publication in the prestigious ACM Transactions on Embedded Computing Systems (TECS)!

I am delighted to share that our educational demo, namely “TEACH: Transferable RTOS Education with Accessible MicroController Hardware” has been accepted to appear at RTSS 2024! Special thanks to Kay Heider and Christian Hakert.

I am honored to announce that I have received the Outstanding Reviewer Award at International Conference on Hardware/Software Codesign and System Synthesis (CODES+ISSS) 2024. This recognition reflects my commitment to supporting the academic community through thorough and constructive peer reviews.

During 07-09.08.2024, I had the opportunity to participate in a research workshop in Germany, hosted by the Chair for Embedded Systems (CES), regarding system designs for non-volatile memory technologies. It was a great chance to reconnect with former colleagues from my previous tenure there, but also new friends travelling from Taiwan.

The 36th Euromicro Conference on Real-Time Systems (ECRTS 2024) is over. As a publicity chair, I was involved very early in the organization to call for workshops and papers – “Apologies if you receive multiple copies of this message”.

This year I am co-chair of 18th annual workshop on the “18th Operating Systems Platforms for Embedded Real-Time applications” (OSPERT), together with Alex Zuepke (TU Munich). Since 2005, OSPERT is a well-known ECRTS workshop and forum for researchers and engineers working on (and with) Real-Time Operating Systems (RTOSes) to present advances and trends in RTOS technology, to promote new and existing initiatives and projects, and to identify and discuss the challenges that lie ahead.

I am happy to announce that the special issue in Transactions on Cyber-Physical Systems, entitled “Fault-Resilient Cyber-Physical Systems” has been successfully published, finally. This special issue offers substantial contributions in several relevant fields, with the goal of improving their resilience against faults.

I had the honor to get invited by the editor of SIGBED Blog, Mitra Nasri, to write about my recent work conducted with Bruno Endres Forlin from the special interest group “Dependable Computing Systems (DCS)” at UT.

The Young Academy Twente is excited to announce its eleven new members for 2025. Representing all five faculties of the UT, the new members will join the current team in, for instance, offering both solicited and unsolicited advice to the Executive Board and the Strategic Board.
